Well, I’m delighted to say that other than maybe a few hours ringing after some prolonged Angus Young, my ears always seem to recover.

So, what exactly is tinnitus?

Most of us will know that it’s ringing in the ears and that the ringing is not audible to anyone else. Since tinnitus is often a symptom of other health conditions, tinnitus cure is usually dependent on treating the underlying disease causing it. Technically speaking, tinnitus itself has no cure but there are several treatments that can be done in order to relieve it. One of the treatments recommended for managing tinnitus is sound therapy. This treatment is based on the premise that tinnitus is most apparent in quiet environments, since there is no outside noise that overpowers the sound of tinnitus. In sound therapy, the person is subjected to listening to other sounds in order to provide distraction.

The sound depends on the person – it can be as simple as a television providing background noise, or a pre-recorded audio of relaxing sea sounds. A sound generator may also be useful in generating white noise that helps program the brain to ignore tinnitus. Knowing about tinnitus and everything related with it is important in managing the condition. Therefore, a lot of people find counseling helpful in managing tinnitus. Through counseling, one gets to talk to a counselor who talks and listens to the person experiencing tinnitus problems. This can be a good way of coping with the condition, since one gets to learn more about tinnitus the more one talks about it. One can also go to support groups in order to share experiences with other people also having the same problems. The purpose of writing you this newsletter is to share information about tinnitus and how to cure it using diets. According to my research, there is a connection between food and tinnitus.

Tinnitus or unwanted ear sounds are as a result of high blood pressure or arteriosclerosis. High blood pressure occurs as a result of unhealthy foods such as red meat (animal protein), refined sugars, salt and flour, and other processed foods. These foods stress the body by constricting the arteries.

Salt and sugar only worsen tinnitus and so they should be avoided. Salt will restrict blood vessel, cause hypertension as well as reduce the flow of blood to the ears and brain thus worsening tinnitus. Continue reading ‘How a Simple Diet Can Help You Cure Tinnitus’ »

I believe that you are in a position to do this by yourself. Massage has been used for ages to relieve pains and aches. If you are suffering from tinnitus, hold both ears closely to your head and by using the index fingers and the thumbs; massage both outer edges of your ears and earlobes.

For those with tinnitus and hearing impairment, massage while pressing both jawbones underneath the ears, and hollows behind the earlobes. Do this twice or thrice and tinnitus will be gone in 24 hours. Continue reading ‘How to Cure Tinnitus in 24 Hours’ »

Many packages on the market claim to be the ultimate tinnitus cure. The Stop the Ringing program costs less than a doctor’s visit, which makes it well worth a try. It was created by a tinnitus sufferer and tested on real patients. The program offers eleven potential cures and six recipes to stop ringing in the ears.

Alternative medicine offers acupuncture, hypnosis, cranio-sacral therapy, and magnet therapy. They also push minerals and herbal cures, including gingko biloba, zinc, and B-vitamins.

Doctors prescribe antihistamines and antidepressants, like Lidocaine and Xanax. They even send patients to psychotherapy so that they can learn to live with the incessant noise. None of these options provides a cure.

Geoff Barker developed the Stop the Ringing program. About a decade ago, he had a severe case of the condition. He spent a lot of time and a lot of money trying to find a remedy. He even went to an alternative clinic that charged seventy dollars per visit. Continue reading ‘A Tinnitus Cure That Really Delivers’ »

Tinnitus is caused when the hearing nerve is damaged. This can be in any of the parts of the ears. There are several causes that can result in damage of the nerve endings of the ears. Frequent exposure to loud noise, accumulation of wax, lodging of a foreign particle, and more can cause ringing in the ears. This is one of the classic symptoms of tinnitus. It can also be caused as a result of old age and as an after effect of any other illness such as chronic allergies, blood pressure, diabetes, structural defects of the ear and more.

As such there is no definite cure for tinnitus. You will first need to get to a doctor who will diagnose you and tell you the intensity of the illness. This again is subjective depending on the person. Two people with the same intensity of the illness may be able to handle it in two separate ways. Tinnitus can be the first symptom of illnesses to come. There are several natural remedies that are touted, however, none of them have any scientific backing to them. These remedies have been able to alleviate the symptoms more than just take them off completely. Continue reading ‘Basic Tinnitus Cure’ »
