Wax is often the culprit. It builds up over time and then forms a hard clump and causes hearing problems. It is easy to solve with a few days of following Doctor’s orders. Over the counter products used several times a day will cause the wax to dissolve quickly and the hearing to return. There is no permanent damage caused by the wax. This process might have to be repeated from time to time. For the person who has a problem it is important to find a way to solve the problem. It will never go away on its own. This is a life long condition and the person will need to find ways to live with it.
When working in an environment that has high decibel readings or listening to that music loudly on the headset is not good for hearing over time.
